Description

This easy Lemon Basil Marinade is made with pantry staples and is AIP, paleo and Whole30-friendly! Whip it up in under two minutes and use it to marinate chicken, seafood or vegetables.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

Place all ingredients in a small mason jar, seal and give it a good shake. Because of the dried basil, it won’t all blend perfectly, but that’s OK.

Use it to marinate chicken (up to 24 hours), seafood or veggies (30 min).

Drain marinade and discard. Then cook your chicken, seafood, or veggies as usual.

Equipment

Notes

Marinade works great for about 2 lbs of meat or veggies, but feel free to adjust to your liking.

All nutrition information is an estimate, only, using an online nutrition calculator. Keep in mind that you don’t eat all the marinade, too. Some is discarded after marinating.
