This super simple, delicious, homemade AIP ranch dressing is dairy-free, paleo and vegan. And it tastes better than anything you can find in a bottle!
Ranch dressing is life!
OK, maybe that’s a bit of an overstatement, but who doesn’t love ranch? It’s SO perfect for bringing a boring salad to life. Or dipping fresh spring veggies into. Does it get better than cucumbers dipped in fresh homemade ranch? Nope.
You could also think a bit outside the box and smother this ranch over some chicken. Or dip homemade french fries in it. Or sweet potato fries!
What makes this AIP Ranch different than store-bought ranch?
What makes this 2-Minute AIP Ranch different than the ranch you can find in a bottle on a shelf? Oh, let me count the ways!
To start, this ranch is paleo-friendly, which means it is dairy-free, gluten-free, soy-free and canola-free. It also AIP-friendly, has no added sugars of any kind, is egg-free, mayonnaise-free and free of any added gums or thickeners. It also happens to be oil-free and vegan.
Phew! OK, after all the ingredients that are NOT in this recipe, what’s left?
Only the best, most delicious ingredients, of course! And I bet you already have ALL of them on-hand. If you don’t have coconut yogurt (paleo and AIP versions can be very hard to find in stores), you only need two ingredients and this recipe for 2-Ingredient Paleo/AIP Coconut Yogurt. Added bonus: the coconut yogurt makes this recipe gut-friendly with a boost of probiotics!
OK, but with all these exclusions, does it still taste good?
You have no idea how delicious this AIP Ranch is until you try it. You cannot even comprehend! There are no words for how delicious this ranch is. Seriously. I’m out of words. Just try it. What do you have to lose? The two minutes it takes to make this recipe? That’s it.
2-Minute AIP Ranch Ingredients
The best part about this recipe is that it’s all done with pantry staples. No extra washing or chopping required.
- 1 cup coconut milk yogurt (skip any with added gums, fillers, or sweeteners. Try this homemade AIP coconut yogurt recipe!)
- 1/2 Tbsp dried chives
- 1/2 Tbsp dried parsley
- 1 tsp dried dill
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp Redmond Real Salt
Just add all your ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Easy-peasy. If you don’t want to get your blender dirty, you could also just add your ingredients to a bowl or jar and use your immersion blender to whip it all together.
If you need another idea for where to use it, try this Nourishing Buddha Bowl and swap the pesto for this ranch. Om nom nom!

November 24, 2021 at 1:04 pmIt should save in the fridge for up to a week, but be sure to check the expiration date of your yogurt, so you don’t save it past the expiration date.
